What if I do not want to or am unable to meet in person with a counselor?
Specialty Counseling offers both in office appointments as well as telehealth options. Our providers are here to help you, no matter where you are at or if you aren’t able to come to the office. Reach out to be connected with a therapist who is right for you!
What approach does Specialty Counseling take when working with families?
Specialty Counseling & Consulting is dedicated to serving youth and families in the community.
Our approach is to be involved personally with families and individuals but not be invasive; to be comprehensive in treatment, but not complicated or confusing. We believe answers often come after changing the small but important things in our lives. Although those changes can be difficult, we provide support and guidance. We also believe that it is not only important to provide quality services to families, but equally important to provide such services as openly and conveniently as possible to clients.
We do not attempt to “fix” families or individuals, nor do we see ourselves as the sole “experts.” Instead, we use a joint approach and work with clients to design goals and a counseling approach that we can all take ownership in. We can provide counseling to you either at our offices, or within the context of your home or community.
