Therapist CBT, substance abuse issues, mindfulness
I was born in Oregon in 1956 and moved to Wyoming at age 13. I lived in Rawlins for 2 years and then moved to Rock Springs WY. I worked many years in the oil and gas fields and after sobering up in January of 2000 I went to college and graduated from college with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Bachelors Degree in Gender and Women’s studies, and a Masters of Science Degree in Community Counseling in 2008. I became a fully Licensed Professional Counselor in 2011 after completing intern and provisional training from 2008 to 2011. I am an addictions professional and have worked in the substance abuse field in Laramie, WY and in the Green River, Rock Springs area. I moved to Cheyenne and have been working for Specialty Counseling and Consulting for 3 years. I am the Substance Abuse Program Manager and I work with adolescents, adults, and folks in the criminal justice system. I do individual, groups, and DUI/Substance abuse education classes. On a personal note I am a recovering person and attend 12 step programs and a very spiritual person. I enjoy getting out in nature for recreation rock hunting and fancy myself as an amateur archaeologist
